Jagwe Muzafaru
Jagwe Muzafaru is founder and chairman of Blind Football Uganda, a Para football federation governing, promoting and developing the game of Blind football, an adaptive soccer played by visually impaired athletes. Jagwe is a former country representative for CP-Football in Uganda and a volunteer with the Para-football organization in charge of African development.
As the director of Uganda Blind Sports Association, a member association of both the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and the International Blind Tennis Association (IBTA), Jagwe’s goal is to develop and grow blind and visually impaired tennis in Uganda and the African continent.
Jagwe is a graduate of Makerere University (MUBS) class of 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing. He began his Para-sport career as a volunteer with Uganda Paralympic Committee in 2018 and with great passion for blind sports growth and participation. He conceptualized and introduced blind football in Uganda in 2021 and established the Uganda Blind Sports Association to provide as many sporting opportunities for visually impaired persons as possible.
