Dana Costa
In 2017, Dana Costa became president of a local non-profit tennis organisation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The organisation’s mission was to grow the game and make it accessible for all. Dana’s position and organisation’s mission led her to the wonderful sport of blind tennis.
Dana discovered blind tennis in 2018 after her daughter participated in a blind hockey event. She was fascinated at how such a difficult sport was adapted and was curious as to how we could adapt tennis for this community. She began to research and developed a plan to pilot a program within her own organisation. She stumbled upon IBTA during her research and has worked closely since to ensure her organisation perfected the program.
